    Remove the header pipe bracket.

    Remove the shift lever torque rod and shift rod from clutch housing.
  3. 18
    Install the bolt (S) at the cylinder head and attach a hoist chain to the bolt and the other end to the engine hanger plate (S), then lift the engine slightly to unload the mounts.

    Place a jack under the transmission and raise transmission just enough to take the weight off the mounts.

    Remove the bolts from the front transmission mount.

    Remove the rear transmission mount bracket by removing the 4 mounting bolts.
  7. 22
    Remove the bolts and nut, then remove the side transmission mount.
  8. 23
    Remove the 5 transmission mount bolts.

    Pull the transmission away from the engine until it clears the 14 mm dowel pins.
  10. 25
    Separate the mainshaft from the clutch pressure plate and remove the transmission by lowering the jack.
