Brake Caliper - Disassembly
13-7prose procedure- 9Apply Molykote M77 compound to both sides of the pad shims and back of the pads.
- 10Install the brake pads and pad shims.Install the pad with the wear indicator on the inside.

- 11Push in the piston so that the caliper will fit over the pads. Keep the boot in position to prevent damaging the boot when pivoting the caliper down.
- 12Pivot the caliper down into position, then install the bolt B and tighten to 45 N·m (4.5 kg-m, 33 lb-ft).

- 13Install the brake hose clamp bolts to the Knuckle.
- 14Depress the brake pedal several times to make sure the brakes work, then road-test.
Disassembly
CAUTION
• Make sure all parts are clean before reassembly.
• Use only new replacement parts.
• Use only clean brake fluid.
• Do not allow dirt or other foreign matter to contaminate the brake fluid.
• Do not mix different brands of brake fluid.
• Avoid spilling brake fluid on painted, plastic or rubber surfaces as it can damage the finish; Wash spilled brake fluid off immediately with clean water.
- 1Remove the banjo bolt and disconnect the brake hose from the caliper.

- 2Remove the caliper bolt, then remove the caliper.Avoid damaging the splash guard.
