CYL Sensor Overhaul

Disassembly:

  1. 1
    Remove the CYL sensor from the engine.
    CYL sensor mounted on the engine, with mounting bolts being removed.
  2. 2
    Carefully pry up the CYL rotor by using two screwdrivers as shown. Do not damage the CYL rotor.
    Prying up the CYL rotor with two screwdrivers; the CYL ROTOR is identified.
  3. 3
    Pull the CYL coil assembly and mount rubber out from the sensor housing by removing the screws.

    Remove the C-clip.

    Slide off the pin retainer being careful not to stretch it.
  6. 6
    Separate the coupling from the shaft by removing the roll pin as shown.

    Remove the rotor shaft.
