    Use circlip pliers to remove the circlip.
    Removing the circlip from the compressor clutch pulley shaft using circlip pliers; a detail of the circlip is drawn above, connected by a leader line.

    Remove the pulley from the shaft using a 2 or 3 jaw puller.
    A 2- or 3-jaw puller mounted on the compressor to pull the pulley off the shaft.

    Check the pulley, replace the assembly if the pulley is damaged or deformed.
  4. 6
    Disconnect the field coil connector and remove the screws (3) and field coil.
    Removing the field coil after disconnecting the connector and removing the three screws; field coil lifted off the compressor with the wire side up.

    Install in the reverse order of removal and:
