    Remove the banjo bolt and disconnect the brake hose from the caliper.

    Remove the two caliper mounting bolts and the caliper from the bracket.
    Thoroughly clean the outside of the caliper to prevent dust and dirt from entering inside.
    Plug the end of the brake hose to prevent brake fluid from flowing out.
    Rear caliper on the bracket showing removal of the banjo bolt/brake hose and the two caliper mounting bolts; tightening-torque callouts for the mounting bolt and the banjo bolt, with sealing washers marked replace.

    Remove the pad spring from the caliper.

    Remove the piston and piston boot while rotating the piston.
    Avoid damaging the piston and piston boot.
    Removing the piston and piston boot from the caliper by hand while rotating the piston, using pliers.

    Remove the circlip, then washer, adjusting spring A, and the adjusting nut from the piston.

    Remove the piston seal.
    Take care not to damage the cylinder bore.
