DOHC engine. Retaining-bolt size prefix '8' on the figure is partly clipped by the scan margin; torque (3.8 kg-m, 27 lb-ft) is legible. Step numbers 12-14 partly clipped at the left margin.

    Tighten each bolt two turns at a time in the sequence shown below to insure that the rockers do not bind on the valves.

    Install keys into grooves in camshafts.
    NOTE: To set the No. 1 piston at TDC, align the hole on the camshaft with the hole in the No. 1 camshaft holders and drive 5.0 mm pin drivers into the holes.
    Camshaft pulley installation: a key fitted into the camshaft groove (inset), pin drivers used to lock the camshafts at No. 1 TDC, a 27 mm spanner on the camshaft, and the camshaft pulleys with their retaining bolts and special washers.

    Push camshaft pulleys onto camshafts, then tighten retaining bolts to torque shown.
  4. 13
    Adjust the valve timing (page 5-9).
  5. 14
    After installation, check that all hoses and connectors are installed correctly.
