Alternator removal (step 16) is LHD only. Step 17 (A/C compressor) applies to cars with A/C.

  1. 14
    Disconnect the radiator hoses and heater hoses.
    Engine view showing the speedometer cable, radiator hoses and heater hoses to be disconnected.
  2. 15
    Remove the speedometer cable.
    CAUTION: Do not remove the holder because the speedometer gear may fall into the transmission housing.

    Remove the alternator: (LHD only)
    Alternator with adjust bolt, mount bolt and alternator belt; with mounting torque callouts.

    On cars with A/C:
    NOTE: The compressor can be moved without discharging the air conditioner system.
