Removal (cont'd)

  1. 7
    Remove the upper and lower column covers.
    Steering column with the upper and lower column covers separated and removed.
  2. 8
    Disconnect each wire coupler from the combination switch.
    Steering column with the combination switch assembly and the turn signal cancelling sleeve being removed.
  3. 9
    Remove the turn signal cancelling sleeve and combination switch assembly.
  4. 10
    Remove the lower column bracket.
    Lower steering column mounting showing the lower column bracket, bending plate guide and bending plate with their attaching nuts/bolts and torque values.

    Remove the nuts attaching the bending plate guide and bending plate.
  6. 12
    Disconnect each wire coupler from the fuse box at under dash left side.
    Fuse box at the under-dash left side with wire couplers connected, to be disconnected before removing the column assembly.
  7. 13
    Remove the steering column assembly.
