    Coat the pinion seal ring guide with power steering fluid, and slide it onto the rack, big end first.
    Piston seal ring positioned on the piston seal ring guide special tool over the rack, with the 31.5 x 2.4 mm O-ring beneath. Apply power steering fluid (PSF symbol). Labels identify the piston seal ring guide tool, piston ring and O-ring.

    Position the new piston seal ring on the special tool, slide it down to to big end of the tool, and then pull it off into the piston groove on top of the O-ring.

    Coat the piston seal ring and inside of the special tool with power steering fluid. Carefully slide the tool onto the rack and over the piston ring, then rotate the tool as you move it up and down to seat the piston ring.
    Piston seal ring sizing tool being slid onto the rack over the piston ring and rotated up and down. Apply power steering fluid (PSF symbol). Labels identify the rack, piston ring and the piston seal ring sizing tool.

    Coat new O-rings with grease and install them on the cylinder cap.
    New 37×1.5 mm O-rings coated with grease being installed on the cylinder cap. Labels identify the 37×1.5 mm O-rings and the cylinder cap.

    Slide the cylinder cap onto the seal retainer.

    Install the circlip and O-ring on the seal retainer.
