    Loosely install the new oil seal in the pump front cover.
    The oil seal spring may come out of position if the oil seal is not installed squarely.
    Hands loosely installing the new oil seal into the pump front cover. Leader line points to the oil seal seated at the top of the cover.
  2. 15
    Install the new oil seal in the pump front cover; get it started by hand, then use a 19 mm socket to push it in the rest of the way.
    Using a 19 mm socket and hammer to drive the new oil seal the rest of the way into the pump front cover.
