    Install the 28 mm snap ring securely in the pinion holder groove.
    Pinion holder with the 28 mm snap ring being installed in the pinion holder groove.
  2. 55
    Grease the steering pinion seal, and install it on the gear housing using the special tools.
    Installing the greased steering pinion seal onto the gear housing cap using the driver and driver attachment special tools.

    Grease the new O-ring and install it in the groove in the gear housing cap.
    O-ring: 46 x 1.5 mm
    Gear housing cap with the new 46 x 1.5 mm O-ring greased and installed in its groove.
  4. 57
    Grease the special tool and fit it over the steering pinion.
    Greasing the pinion seal guide special tool and fitting it over the steering pinion on the gear housing.
