Fuel Filler/Tailgate Opener - Replacement

Tailgate/fuel-filler opener procedure applies to the CRX (hatchback) body.

Replacement

    To remove the opener cables, remove the following parts:

    Remove the screw and the release levers, then remove the opener cover. Remove the opener by removing the 2 bolts.

    Remove the fuel lid latch by turning it 90°.
  4. 4
    Remove the bolt, then remove the tailgate lock cylinder.
  5. 5
    Remove the 3 screws, then remove the tailgate latch.
  6. 6
    Disconnect the opener cable, connector and lock rod.
  7. 7
    To install, reverse the removal procedure. Check that the tailgate and fuel lid opener cables are routed and connected properly.
