Two connector types shown: A-Type and B-Type, each for radiator fan motor and condenser fan motor.

Fan Motor Test

  1. 1
    Disconnect the 2-P connector from the fan motor.
    A-Type radiator fan motor, showing the fan, the 2-P connector location and a magnified inset of the connector with A and B terminals and the LOCK tab.
  2. 2
    Test motor operation by connecting battery positive to the A terminal, and negative to the B terminal.
  3. 3
    If the motor fails to run smoothly, replace it.
<A-Type> Radiator Fan Motor / Condenser Fan Motor and <B-Type> Radiator Fan Motor / Condensor Fan Motor connector terminal identification is shown in the figures.
